Jewellery: An Ounce of Ag
with Michael Carberry
A one-day workshop, running 10am-4pm
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Michael Carberry’s work is heavily influenced by the physical properties of the raw material and the processes that allow the material to speak for itself.
This one-day workshop will involve thinking about how you work with one ounce of silver and what YOU might be able to make with it.
Michael will send further information about the workshop to those interested nearer the time.
ABOUT THE TUTOR
Michael is an award-winning professional jeweller who creates work that reflects the process of its construction, allowing the surface qualities produced to trace their own development. Michael is known for his distinctive style of jewellery, which owes a great deal to sculpture, with his hand forged rings, bracelets and neck pieces looking as if they have grown from the metal.
Previous Exhibitions include Goldsmiths' Hall and the Royal Academy is London, as well as international collections in the USA.
