Meditation (Weekly Class)

Weekly class running on Thursdays, 10am-11am, during term time.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
In this workshop you will experience the peace and tranquillity which lies within us through different guided meditation techniques.
You will also learn some easy yogic exercises, chants and breathing techniques that will help you to settle down and prepare yourself for meditation.
This workshop welcomes beginners.
ABOUT THE TUTOR
Gargi is a meditation and yoga teacher at The Art of Living organization founded by H. H Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. She has been volunteering and teaching the stress-releasing yogic techniques for past 7 years. Gargi is also a 400-hours trained yoga teacher from India.
WHAT TO BRING
- Mat / yoga mat / cushion if one wish to sit on the floor
- A bottle of drinking water
- Small towel
September 8th : Meditation on the 5 sheaths of our existence
September 15th : Aura Meditation
September 22nd: Om chanting and Meditation
September 29th : Yogasanas and Meditation on the Chakras
October 6th : Meditation on the chakras
October 13th : Meditation on Mooladhar Chakra
October 20th : Suryanamaskar followed by Lying down Meditation (health condition will be noted)
October 27th : Suryanamaskar (health condition will be noted) followed by Meditation for health and well-being.
All sessions will have pranayamas / supporting breathing exercises.
Participants must bring their yoga mat/ comforter/ something to spread on the floor to lie down and to wrap up if required.
