Long Road Home (18 Mar)

Following a tragedy that struck blues/rock band ‘Storm Warning’, founder ‘SW’ members, bassist Derek White and keyboard player Ian Salisbury, had a chance meeting with guitarist Steve Summers and vocalist Mike Sebbage, both from recording project ‘Rien de Faire’ and work began on putting together the new band. With the addition of drummer Dave Norman, the Long Road Home line-up was complete.
After a very successful debut appearance at The Cambridge Rock Festival, Long Road Home have been in the recording studio and at the Limelight Theatre gig, they will be showcasing songs from their debut album scheduled to be released this Spring
.
Although new to the scene in 2022, Long Road Home can boast years of collective touring and recording experience going back to the '70s. Members of the band have more recently played with members of Gary Moore's band and with Bernie Marsden, John Verity, Larry Miller, Storm Warning amongst many others.
The band have their roots firmly planted in the blues/rock genre and have created a unique style that also blends jazz and soulful elements into their music. You can expect to hear fresh original blues rock and blues influenced tunes as well as a few classics which may include songs from Jethro Tull, Humble Pie and Whitesnake.
