Acrylics for Beginners - Part 1 (3-week course)

3-week course running for three consecutive 2.5-hour sessions from the dates and start times listed below.

ABOUT THE CLASS

This course will give you an introduction to acrylic painting. It is suitable for beginners.

You will be taught, step- by- step, techniques such as colour mixing, washes, and impasto through painting a range of subjects.

WHAT TO BRING

A selection of acrylic paints

Selection of brushes – rounds (small and larger), and flats

Palette knife

A3 or A4 acrylic paper (such as Daler Rowney Mixed media 250g/m paper)

Masking tape

Mixing palette

Pencil

Rubber

Ruler

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Leila Ward is a Tring-based artist who studied Art and Design at Loughborough University School of Art and Design. She has experimented with different mediums over the years, and particularly likes drawing/ painting animals, and using watercolour, acrylic, and printing techniques. Leila enjoys making art more accessible to others, showing people that anyone can create art.
