Friday 12 April 10am - 1pm Age 9-12 yrs ABOUT THE WORKSHOP The workshop will enable you to learn about ceramic painting techniques. You will learn how to compose strong designs, mix and use outlining and ceramic colour palettes and practise these skills before then creating your own tile to take away with you. No prior experience is required or skill in arts or crafts. Materials are provided as well as tuition on how to make. ABOUT THE TUTOR Belinda Hunt is an Art Therapist, Artist and Teacher who uses art to focus on wellbeing and health and on our relation to each other and to our planet. She works with individuals and groups, promoting personal and social wellbeing through the art process and art outcomes. Her art covers various media in 2D and 3D and has exhibited locally as well as in Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, London and Scotland. She trained as a Fine Artist at Byam Shaw School of Art, then in Figurative Sculpture at Heatherley School of Art, and Art Therapy at the University of Hertfordshire. She also works as an Art Historian and has written books on the subject.

Thursday 11 April 10am - 1pm Age 13-17 years ABOUT THE WORKSHOP Patch painting or painting old clothes/shoes/bags/cushions upcycling textiles workshops (participants to bring old clothes/textiles for workshop). You will create designs on paper and then transcribe these to old clothes or shoes, bags or cushions to breathe new and interesting life into them. You may want to bring in designs or inspiration images. If preferred, you can create patches to sew onto cloths and bags back at home.
