Botanical Eco-Printing (2-day workshop)
with Dawn Ramsay

Monday 16 & Tuesday 17 February 2026, 10am-1.30pm
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
A fun, eco-friendly printing workshop using the natural dyes held in everyday plants to make prints. Dawn will share her expertise and participants will get to have a go at creating the varied and beautiful effects that come from using particular plants and leaves.
The first morning will cover a method of printing with plants onto paper, and then on day two the prints are revealed and participants will have the chance to bind them into a book.
ABOUT THE TUTOR:
Dawn Ramsay studied fabric design, later on becoming interested in sustainable materials and natural dyes she now keeps a dye garden - of plants grown to dye fabrics, yarn and paper.
WHAT TO BRING
Please wear old clothes or bring an apron. Materials are provided, but those taking part will be encouraged to collect and bring along leaves and foliage to use and share for printmaking. The arts centre will contact all participants in advance with some suggestions for good plants to bring.
There will be a lunch break in the middle of the session in the QPAC coffee bar. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase but you may also want to bring your own lunch with you.
