ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Come and take your potter's wheel driving test in the this fun and friendly one-day class.
This class is ideal for students working at all different levels of ceramics. Whether a first-timer looking to get to grips with clay, or a more experienced potter wanting to explore new shapes and forms, our tutor is here to help!
Your course fee includes the cost of firing for two pieces.
ABOUT THE TUTOR
Patrick Hayward is a longstanding pottery tutor at Queens Park Arts Centre and is always keen to share his extensive knowledge of all sorts of techniques and tricks! He is experienced in teaching wheel-throwing and often exhibits his work in many local settings throughout the year, giving demonstrations when possible.
WHAT TO BRING
Materials are included in the workshop price. Throwing can often get messy, so it is recommended that you come in old clothes - there are also aprons available at the centre, or you can bring your own. There will be a lunch break in the middle at the QPAC coffee bar. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase but you may also want to bring your own food with you.
