Fun With Clay Slip

A one-day workshop, running 10am-4pm

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This workshop involves trailing coloured slips onto clay to create beautiful patterns.

Slip is a simple clay and water mixture with coloured pigment added and is a wonderful decorating tool. You will use coloured slips in squeezy bottles to produce decorated tiles or small plates made during the workshop. The tutor will start by demonstrating a variety of slip trailing techniques that can be used on clay.

After the workshop we will fire your work and add a clear glaze on top. Your finished items will be ready for collection within the month.

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Elaine is predominantly a Studio Potter and has been producing wheel-thrown domestic ware in her studio in Amersham. Recently, over two years attending Clay College in Stoke on Trent she was privileged to have been taught by a variety of Master Potters and experienced many different techniques.
