Life Drawing (Weekly Classes)
Tuesdays (7pm-9.30pm) and Saturdays (10am-12.30pm) during term time.
PLEASE NOTE: Our Tuesday evening sessions are led by a tutor and are ideal for beginners as well as experienced artists. Our Saturday morning classes are untutored and are suited to those with previous experience.
Please bring your own choice of drawing materials. If you are new or in need of inspiration we recommend charcoal, several sheets of large (A2) sugar paper and a putty rubber. Materials can be purchased from the QPAC art shop before the start of a session.
TUESDAY EVENING SESSIONS with Ellie Kirkup
This class is open to all levels of experience and ability. Students will have the chance to draw from a nude model in a variety of short and longer poses. If you are brand new to life drawing, tutor Ellie Kirkup will provide all of the guidance you need to get started and plenty of ideas for developing your drawing. Artists with more experience are welcome to come along and simply draw.
Ellie has been practising life drawing for ten years and is enthusiastic about keeping experimenting with drawing. She likes to work from other artists, life drawing and everyday life to explore interesting new ways to draw.
SATURDAY MORNING SESSIONS (Untutored)
These untutored classes are a perfect opportunity for those with previous experience to come and work alongside like-minded artists to develop and explore their drawing skills.
