'Richard II' (Touring Performances)
Produced by Unbound
Our award-winning storytelling company Unbound present the 2024 Buckinghamshire Shakespeare Festival, featuring a brand-new touring production of one of the Bard's most incendiary plays.
PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to book for the two performances at QPAC's Limelight Theatre on 5-6 July, please click here.
King Richard holds the throne of England, but opposition to his rule is mounting. When he banishes Henry Bolingbroke over a dispute with his ally Lord Mowbray, the exiled noble vows to take revenge. Soon he returns to England to raise an army, with his sights set firmly on challenging the divine right of kings...
This brand-new production of Shakespeare’s iconic comedy is perfect for fans of the Bard as well as those a bit suspicious of Shakespeare! Had a bad experience with his plays at school? Can’t deal with another show full of men in tights? This is the show for you!
