Punch needle art is a form of embroidery, similar to rug making. Equipment includes a needle punch tool, embroidery ring, monks’ cloths, yarn, and a few other materials.

At this one-off special workshop, you'll be able to make up to four modern, environmentally conscious coasters during this session and take them home!

Suitable for age 16 years plus. Limited capacity places must be booked in advance.

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Mixed-media artist from Buckinghamshire, Zeena Morris, employs various textile techniques, such as tufting, beading and hand stitching, to produce intriguing textures. Zeena, who is half Jamaican and half Indian, decided to use her work to raise awareness of environmental issues, after seeing the coral reefs being destroyed while visiting her family in Jamaica. Zeena finds inspiration in her surroundings, her accompanying exhibition at Queens Park Arts Centre showcases work inspired by the environment.
