Teens Upcycling Textile Painting Workshop - Age 13-17 yrs

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Upcycle your old textiles to create something new! Patch painting or bring in your old clothes/shoes/bags/cushions to be upcycled in this summer holiday workshop. You may want to bring in designs or inspiration images.
Participants will create designs on paper and then transcribe these to old clothes or shoes, bags or cushions to breathe new and interesting life into them.
If preferred, you can create patches in the workshop to sew onto clothes and bags back at home.
ABOUT THE TUTOR
Belinda Hunt is an Art Therapist, Artist and Teacher who uses art to focus on wellbeing and health and on our relation to each other and to our planet. She works with individuals and groups, promoting personal and social wellbeing through the art process and art outcomes.
Belinda's art covers various media in 2D and 3D and has exhibited across the UK.
Belinda trained as a Fine Artist at Byam Shaw, then in Figurative Sculpture at Hetherley and Art Therapy at University of Hertfordshire. She also works as an Art Historian and has written books on the subject.
WHAT TO BRING
Participants to come with old clothes (jeans etc )/shoes/ bags /cushions textiles for upcycling and with permission slips to paint these. Also bring in inspiration images if you wish.
