Figure Sculpture Workshop
with Belinda Hunt
Saturday 6 July 10am - 4pm
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The workshop will provide the opportunity to create a sculpture from a life model in the studio. The workshop will enable participants to learn about modelling in clay from life, using traditional formal sculpting techniques. More advanced participants will be able to explore techniques in modelling of abstraction and increased porosity if they wish.
Participants will be shown how to decorate works once finished and will be able to either take away their works unfired to decorate once hard, or to leave them for firing to collect at a later date. (Depending on size of work, participants may need to complete hollowing out work at a later date, but will be shown how to do this so that larger works can still be fired successfully.)
No prior experience is required or skill in arts or crafts. Materials are provided as well as tuition on how to sculpt.
