'Richard II' (5-6 Jul)
Produced by Unbound
Our award-winning storytelling company Unbound kick-start the 2024 Buckinghamshire Shakespeare Festival with a brand-new production of one of the Bard's most incendiary plays.
King Richard holds the throne of England, but opposition to his rule is mounting. When he banishes Henry Bolingbroke over a dispute with his ally Lord Mowbray, the exiled noble vows to take revenge. Soon he returns to England to raise an army, with his sights set firmly on challenging the divine right of kings...
The production will debut for two nights here at QPAC before heading out and about on tour, including dates at Waddesdon Manor, Ascott House, and Wycombe Museum. Click here to book for touring performances.
