ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Join us for a relaxed fun day discovering raffia craft.

At this one-day workshop you will learn about where raffia comes from, how to dye it (you work with undyed raffia in the workshop) as well as the basic skills that are needed to make stunning, durable and sustainable fashion and home pieces.

You will make your own small clutch, approx A5 size, but it is also possible that you become hooked on raffia!

No previous experience necessary, everyone is welcome.

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Claire from allthingsraffia has been working with raffia for nearly 30 years. She runs workshops at several venues across the UK and her enthusiasm for raffia does not look like it is waning anytime soon. At other times Claire has been a lecturer teaching accounts... she prefers running raffia workshops.
