Design and Stitch - inspired by fashion artist Zandra Rhodes (one-day course)

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
We will make simple linear marks on paper and explore methods of arranging them into patterns before interpreting the marks using creative hand stitch. Suitable for all levels.
ABOUT THE TUTOR
Janet Edmonds is a textile artist, tutor and author of 4 books. She has taught embroidery for C&G for many years and was awarded the medal for excellence and the Broiderers Prize in 2016. She is a member of the Bucks Craft Guild, Textile Study Group and the Chiltern Textile and Embroidery Group.
Janet is an experienced tutor delivering courses throughout the UK. She is a member of the Buckinghamshire Craft Guild and the author of four books on Embroidery.
WHAT TO BRING
It is recommended you bring coloured crayons or pencils and some A4 paper or a sketch book as well as a simple sewing kit including sisors, a range of needles plus a small piece of cotton fabric (coloured or plain). You might find an embroidery hoop useful, but this is not required. There will be a lunch break in the middle of the session in the QPAC coffee bar. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase but you may also want to bring your own lunch with you.
