Watercolour Landscapes (4 week course)

ABOUT THE COURSE
This is a 4 week course beginning Friday 29 May. (COURSE DATES: 29 May, 5, 12, 19 June)
During this course, participants will explore painting Urban or Rural scenes in Waterclour and pen wash using wet-in-wet technique. Paul will also share steps on adding figures into paintings and tips on refining compositions. Students will be encouraged to find their own style through the weeks.
ABOUT THE TUTOR
Paul Chappell is a practicing professional artist. Having worked in London for Advertising studios he now spends his spare time painting and tutoring watercolour, sketching or painting.
WHAT TO BRING
There are some supplies at QPAC that can be used, however it is recommended that you bring your own watercolour paints and brushes if you have as you can get comfortable with materials you will then have beyond the course. QPAC also sells watercolour paints, brushes and papers from our Art Shop at reception.
Suggested Materials Guide:
Brushes - Sable or Nylon size 10, 6,4
Winsor
and Newton Cotman or Artists watercolours or similar brand, can be tubes
or pans.
Watercolour cold press paper at least A3 size, or hot
pressed paper for pen and ink
An HB pencil
Fineliner waterproof
pens 0.1, 0.3 or 0.5
