Poetry Writing Masterclass (half-day workshop)

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

In this workshop, we will be going through a variety of writing exercises to get your creative juices flowing. Looking at contemporary poetry from a wide range of poets, we will use these to springboard into our own writing. You will have a chance to share your work with the group, but it’s not compulsory. This class is suitable for beginners, the more advanced, and people looking to get back into poetry writing.

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Ciaran Kelly has a BA and MA in Creative Writing, and is currently working on his first poetry collection. His poems have been published in a number of journals. He is passionate about poetry, writing in general, and teaching.

WHAT TO BRING

We suggest you bring a notebook and some pens and/or pencils so that you can keep your poetry work safe in one place after the workshop!
