Poetry Writing Shortcourse (4-week course)

ABOUT THE COURSE

This is a 4 week course beginning Thursday 5 November. (COURSE DATES: 5, 12, 19, 26 November)

Over the course of these sessions, we will be looking at works by contemporary poets as a jumping board for a variety of writing exercises. There will be opportunities to perform in front of the class, but never any pressure to do so. Whether you're just starting out with poetry, or been writing for years, there should be something for everyone here.

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Ciaran Kelly has a BA and MA in Creative Writing, and is currently working on his first poetry collection. His poems have been published in a number of journals. He is passionate about poetry, writing and teaching.

WHAT TO BRING

We suggest you bring a notebook and some pens and/or pencils so that you can keep your poetry work safe in one place after the workshop!
