School Holiday: Wikid Sticks (11-14 Yrs)

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Make a Wikid Stick! Learn how to shape wood using a spokeshave, make holes with a drill and brace-and-bit and carve patterns into the surface, then finish off your creation with some string or cord binding and recycled additions! You'll use hammers, nails, glue, foil and of course proper woodwork tools along the way.

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Jeremy has been making things in wood since the 1970s. From small pendants, coasters, dishes and bowls to large carved and constructed public art commissions. His personal practice involves drawing a lot and carving intricate relief panels.

WHAT TO BRING

All materials are included in the workshop price, though you may want to bring a notebook and pencil to jot down ideas. Snacks and drinks are available from the coffee bar on site.
