ABOUT THE COURSE
Anyone for Art is a beginner-friendly art course designed for individuals who would like to make art but lack confidence or have not previously had the opportunity to explore creative practice. The course provides a supportive and inclusive environment where learners can experiment with materials, develop fundamental skills, and build confidence in their own creative abilities. The focus is on exploration, enjoyment, and personal expression rather than prior experience or technical ability.
The full course will run over a year (30 weeks) with a different focus each term. Sessions are pay as you go, but will build on eachother so regular commitment is recommended to get the most out of it.
Term 1 (Autumn 2026, 10 weeks) will focus on drawing - observation, mark-making,tone and line
Term 2 (Spring 2027, 10 weeks) will move into painting - Colour, texture, layering and experimentation
Term 3 (Summer 2027, 10 weeks) will focus on scuplture - 3D form, structure, materials and construction.
This course is aimed at adults and young people aged 16+ who have little or no experience in art, would like to explore creativity in a supportive environment or may feel unsure about their artistic ability but are willing to try. No formal qualifications or prior experience are required.
