Drawing for Beginners - Part 1 (4-week online course)

ABOUT THE CLASS

This online course will introduce you to beginner drawing techniques- looking at equipment, how to show depth through shading and perspective, and how to draw through identifying shape, form and texture.

This workshop is aimed at beginners to drawing, and art in general, and those looking to improve their drawing skill. Adults (age 13 years +)

Students will require a selection of pencils (2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B), an A4 sketch pad, a rubber, a pencil sharpener and a ruler.

Each course runs for four consecutive weekly sessions from the start date / time listed below.

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Leila Ward is a Tring-based artist who studied Art and Design at Loughborough University School of Art and Design. She has experimented with different mediums over the years, and particularly likes drawing/ painting animals, and using watercolour, acrylic, and printing techniques. Leila runs the Tring Art Society, and enjoys making art more accessible to others, showing people that anyone can create art.
