Charcoal Drawing (One-day class)

One-day workshop, 10am-4pm

Charcoal is a wonderful medium for atmospheric landscape drawings. Come along to this one-day workshop with artist Liz Cotgreave to get hands on and see what it can do!  

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

During this workshop you will try out some of these ways of working including drawing with a cloth, erasers, textured surfaces, stencils and more! You will also learn tricks for getting started, making lots of small drawings as you experiment and using these for inspiration later in the day.

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Liz uses a range of tools and techniques to create interesting marks and textures in her work. She works experimentally both outdoors and from photos and videos taken in the landscape. She often finds inspiration in what happens by accident as she draws. 

WHAT TO BRING

The workshop fee includes all the materials you need. Please bring an apron with you and don’t forget a packed lunch!
