Drawing for Beginners - Part 2 (3-week course)

ABOUT THE CLASS
If you've always wanted to learn how to draw, but weren't sure where to start, you're in the right place. This course follows on from the Beginners Drawing Part 1 course, and builds on the skills learnt there. This course is perfect for taking your skills to the next level.
In this course, you'll learn:
How to draw more complex subjects, such as trees, figures, and landscapes
Tips for working with charcoal and chalk
How to use reference materials and photographs to create accurate and detailed drawings
Techniques for identifying light and shade and how to translate this in your drawings
How to use perspective in a real situation
Tips for working with different pencils, rubbers, and other equipment.
By the end of the course, you'll have completed several projects and have a deeper understanding of the principles and techniques of drawing, giving you the confidence to tackle even more challenging subject matter. So grab your pencils and let's get started!

An A4 Sketch pad
Rubber
Pencil sharpener
Ruler
Willow Charcoal
White pencil or chalk
ABOUT THE TUTOR
Leila Ward is a Tring-based artist who studied Art and Design at Loughborough University School of Art and Design. She has experimented with different mediums over the years, and particularly likes drawing/ painting animals, and using watercolour, acrylic, and printing techniques. Leila enjoys making art more accessible to others, showing people that anyone can create art.
